Automobili Lamborghini marks its 60th anniversary with a spectacular blend of automotive innovation and artistic expression, unveiling the Revuelto ‘Opera Unica’ at Art Basel Miami Beach 2023. This exclusive piece, born from the creative minds at Centro Stile and Lamborghini’s Ad Personam team, epitomizes the brand’s first V12 hybrid plug-in HPEV.
The Revuelto, introduced earlier this year, represents a leap in performance and design, boasting an unprecedented new architecture, maximum-efficiency aerodynamics, and a cutting-edge carbon frame concept. With a remarkable 1,001 horsepower, the Revuelto excels in agility and effectiveness on both road and track.
Stephan Winkelmann, Chairman and CEO of Automobili Lamborghini, expresses the global acclaim received by the Revuelto, highlighting its status as the fastest, most technologically advanced, and customizable Lamborghini to date. The ‘Opera Unica’ signifies the brand’s exploration of Ad Personam personalization, resulting in an automotive masterpiece.
Lamborghini’s commitment to color innovation is showcased in the ‘Opera Unica’s’ hand-painted exterior, transitioning from Viola Pasifae to Nero Helene with warm and cool brushstroke details. This meticulous process involves 76 hours of development and testing, totaling 435 hours for execution. A subtle 60th-anniversary logo graces the car’s bonnet.
Inside, the Revuelto ‘Opera Unica’ transforms the interior into an artistic haven. The asymmetric design, constructed with a play of colors, demanded an additional 220 hours for completion. Embroidered 60th-anniversary logos on seat backrests, door inserts, and headliners harmonize with the two-tone leather interior in Nero Ade and Viola Acutus. Even the start and stop cover feature shaded brushstroke colors.
Mitja Borkert, Lamborghini’s Design Director, shares the inspiration behind the dynamic hand-painted exterior, emphasizing the fusion of aerodynamics and speed. The unveiling of the Revuelto ‘Opera Unica’ takes center stage at an evening launch event in Miami Beach, featuring commissioned artwork by Lamborghini America dealers to celebrate the brand’s 60th anniversary.
